This was a quote from my Bible study that I am doing to overcome overeating. It is helping me in so many ways other just eating. I don't think that it is the study as much as the discipline behind the study to read and renew my mind. It is stirring up a real renewal in my soul. Here is that quote:

"Let us learn this lesson well Brandon, for every temptation for us is designed by the enemy of our souls to cause us to disobey God, and to bypass our own cross. Satan's design is for us to give in and disobey rather than to resist and offer our bodies a living sacrifice; to indulge our flesh, rather than crucify it."

Setting Captives Free is the bible study I am doing.

I am sitting here in the quiet of my house ( Sandy and Nathan have gone to the store) reflecting on the goodness of God in His blessing me with such a great many blessings. I think that I get so involved even with "God stuff" that I forget the simple things of life - people who I love and who love me.

I am not sure what posting on a blog involves ( I have read others and gotten a great deal of my inspiration from ron) but I hope that this will foster real community as well as be a lot of fun for us to post on - (I am sure that if ron posts he will keep it funny)

Well anyway - happy blogging. I am sure until this catches on I will be the one blogging the most - so maybe everyone in our fellowship will get to see what continually goes through my brain ( that might be scary)
